Lena: I don't think you can charge and power out at the same time with the Mobile Booster. Did you ever get the one second blue light for power out with the charging happening? Otherwise, I have one and like it. It gets charged when the cell phone does. I would like to get mobile booster powered by AA NiMH Eneloop batteries so that it can have more batteries at hand.

Backup power for my phone is just what I wanted. I have an inverter 120volt outlet in my car with a USB outlet as well. I charged the phone and MP3 from that. Now I plug in both to the mobile booster's two USB outlets and the Mobile Booster into the single inverter USB outlet. That charges the Booster and the Booster charges the MP3 and phone, if you push the button to turn on the ports. Then all three devices are charged and ready to go. If not than the AC adapter at home or a computer USB port when out. I am probably going to get another one.
