Converting even partially to LED lighting has saved a noticeable amount of electricity already. I find the light much easier to read and work with. Cooler means it goes places that an incandescent light could not. There are so many variations of lighting instruments with light more directional that you can put light virtually any where you want. Retrofit bulb replacements for old style sockets are useful but the old fixtures are designed to keep hot lamps from setting things on fire. The possibilities with cool lighting that lasts for years are just being explored.

LED Christmas lights save a lot of electricity. You know what I mean if you have decorated heavily in the past. Some houses look like they must have incredible utility bills in December. The clear strings are good for yard lighting all year. Anyway that is my rational for ordering a lot of Christmas LED light this year. The flameless candles make a great effect in a group.

Recently I purchased a bunch of LED nightlights from DepotEco. My kids insist on having nightlights in their rooms for when they sleep and they just LOVE the changing colors...I think they are very cool also!! At night they give a very soothing feeling in the walkways of our home. It's so great they they use so much less power than regular lights. I enjoy the feeling of security and no guilt about using up too much energy. Thanks to DepotEco for providing this type of product. Thanks also for your fact service and competitive pricing.

Good grief! what are people doing in Washington? - I just saw the CFL video by the congressman. When congress passes stupid legislation you can bet that someone is getting rich. I am sold on LEDs. It is amazing that you can only get them on line. I have had good service from DepotEco. It is easy to see why concrete stores are having trouble competing. I get more personal service and information by email from DepotEco than I can get in a warehouse store.

I got one of the Z-bar desk lamps. http://www.depoteco.com/SPD/z-bar-led-desk-lamp-metallic-black-ll3001-mbk--990000-1203994555.jsp
The picture doesn't do it justice. It is really excellent reading light that is easier to position than any other goose-neck or articulating mount. It includes a clamp as well as a weighted base. It runs cool and cheap with LED ilghts that don't need to be replaced. It looks and feel like quality in every way. I am ordering another one at the sign in special price.

I am amazed that no ones really talking about LED lamps. I have them in my house here and they have reduced my power bill ! CFL's are bad.... Watch the You tube video above and you will understand.
Start using LED lamps. Drive the price down!!!.

It isn't just the mercury that is a problem in fluorescent lights. The light is unpleasant and doesn't come on fully at first. There are continuing controversies about headaches and detrimental effects of the light.

LED lighting is safer, uses less electricity, is more durable, lasts longer, comes in colors, can work on a dimmer, and is more versatile because of less size, less weight, less heat.

Congressman Ted Poe really covers it. CFLs are a scam. Someone is making a lot of money at our expense, while endangering our lives, AGAIN. Ask yourself would you want these fluorescents in your house during an earthquake or tornado? Not your biggest problem at that moment but the consequences could be serious. How about using CFL's in your children's room? Use LED lighting.
