September 10th, 2008 at 5:20 pm

And i understand this is a test camera? You are going to get something different? do tell..
So far this is the only camera of the Santa Barbara Channel nice job! Depoteco.com !
September 10th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
Wow, the weather looks great, beautiful view, wish I was there.
September 26th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
That is what I was looking for: a real time web cam view of the Santa Barbara Channel. Thank you Depoteco, you are the greatest. Today looks like a good day for a trip through the Channel without worrying about being run over by a container ship in the fog.
September 26th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Yes that Live shot of the Santa Barbara Channel is awesome. And yes very useful for me to as I Like to check out the Coastal conditions. Also this is the other view that the Eagle watchers should see for the view of Santa Cruz island from the cost of Santa Barbara here.

Keep it up. I love to see more web Cams of Santa Barbara and the California Coast. The DepotEco.com Web cam will be a great addition to the California web cams directory.
Keep it up DepotEco.com

What a totally amazing view!! Thanks DepotEco.com for giving me a glimpse of coastal beauty! Hope you plan to keep it up and running….I’ll be sure to check in and see what’s happening in your little corner of the world!

Tonight it looks like there is a wind storm with lots of fog! Hope tomorrow clears up for you all, or maybe you would like some rain!!
September 29th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Rain would be so great right now.
we need it bad.

This camera is so cool. I had no idea how foggy it is in Santa Barbara. What a view when you can see it. I have copied a few pictures from your web cam. Is that okay? One is my desktop now. There doesn’t seem to be much sunset in the pictures. Are those your cute dogs? There are boats and airplanes too. Are you near an airport?
Thanks for the view!
Thanks for the Eneloops and the LED lights too. I am never going back. Fluorescent light is so twentieth century and headachey.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
With all that aircraft your tan must have limited coverage even without the webcam! Why don’t you place some cardboard celebrities to scintillate the paparazzi? Can a computer generated nude be an indecently exposed sunbather without breaking the law?
October 7th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
When’s the Barbecue??? That’s my comment.
October 7th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
BBQ,, you got it.. You bring the Tri Tip. Ill Supply the Beer, and the Argon Gas for the Bong

It is true. Curt at CJ Construction has excellent windows. We did the whole house. What a difference! Serious energy savings.

Looks like we just made it through the Santa Barbara Channel before the fog. Thanks again. It really helps to get a look before passing through. The weather report doesn’t always cover the marine layer the way you see it.
October 17th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
The sunsets have been great this week. Isn’t the clearest weather in Santa Barbara between now and January? Keep posting good snapshots please. Sometimes it looks like a boat or an airplane going by.
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:35 pm
HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG …
Cold and foggy then Blazing hot..
November 6th, 2008 at 4:50 pm

..
Nice job. I love the Web Cam of the Santa Barbara Channel.
November 8th, 2008 at 9:17 am
Are you sending low resolution picture now?
November 9th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
The picture looks fine to me.
November 9th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
And there is a yard powwow.
November 10th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
WE turn it up and down depending on the shot. Some times I crank it up to take stills of the Sunset.. But i turn it back down to conserve bandwidth.
November 11th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
OH yeah what a sunset. Please save a high resolution.
November 11th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
It must be really clear in the Santa Barbara Channel to see all those anchor lights at Santa Cruz Island. I had no idea there were so many boats out there. Have you estimated how many there are?
December 14th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
One of those anchor lights at Santa Cruz Island was me, I was watching me too. That was a little surrealistic. Sailing is a different world with internet.
December 17th, 2008 at 12:16 am
webcam is not working again. please fix it again.
December 17th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Yea it does that when Cox Cable disconnects the Business critical connection .. and trees fall
..
Thanks for looking !!!

After installing Java for Chrome the web cam looks as good as ever on Google Chrome. So far the Depoteco store looks good too, both the DepotEco.com and the Amazon.com DepotEco stores. What are all those lights out by Santa Cruz Island at night? It is hard to tell if they are always there and hide in the fog or if they come and go?

Real Estate Santa Cruz California…

August 7th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
New location on web cam looking southwest now? Great view! should be great for winter sunrises.
August 9th, 2009 at 1:03 pm
The Santa Barbara Channel Web Cam is pointing South Still, But now we have a better wider view. We can Pan it. Due East and Due West from this new location. Now you can see all the Way to San Diego on a clear day when looking East. Remember Santa Barbara Sits out on the West Cost on a South Facing Coastline.. So it confuses people when they see the water and we say yes that’s South ..
Enjoy.
