this guy says thin film powered generating plants are popping up all over. What isn't clear is; if these are more "forward looking" announcements, let contracts, or installed and working equipment? Have they got them now or what?

Uh Oh! here comes the money, here comes the money. Wait, did this bill survive the last week? It would be nice to give new-friendly tech a boost. What if we didn't give the $700,000,000,000 to the lenders but just spread it out among the new technology developers? It is the people out in their barns inventing things that will make us independent, not bankers and politicians.

Neither, evidently, does farming, banking, pumping oil, or building cars to burn it pay without government subsides, what is your point? Mine is that without government subsides we would have all we need, the subsides only support the monopolies and speculators who like to see us fight over what is left.

Aside from the politics, it appears that the DepotEco mothership has a grid-tied PV system that has a realistic payback schedule and the likelihood of operating for sometime after that. Of course it would be nice if even ten percent of the trade show hype came to fruition as promised, but let's face it, we are the Windows Service Pack generation.
