I have the 2,4, and 8 GB Pleomax drives. The flash memory is fast and fat 32 file system works with most operating systems instantly. Plug into your port and use it as a removable drive. The only files are two versions of the printed guarantee in the package. My 2 GB is running portable applications the others removable data. If you don’t have the ability to run your world from any computer without installing applications on the host then take it all away in your pocket when you are done, how mobile are you really? How backed up? If you loose your laptop or your hard drive crashes you could be back in business on the next computer you see.
You don’t need to defrag flash memory, no moving parts.

Flash memory is not like RAM. RAM looses its data when power is off. Flash memory like USB drives and SD cards save the data without power. This limits the number of writes they are able to perform. Defragmenting requires multiple read/write cycles resulting in shorter life and gaining no improvement in speed because there are no moving parts. NEVER defrag a flash drive! ALWAYS back up the data somewhere else! If you must deal with file problems, copy data to your hard drive, reformat the flash drive and put the files back on it. That requires far fewer writes.
